What fears have you overcome and how?

Here’s an emotional prompt, but let me give you a funny answer instead.

I don’t have any extraordinary fears. My fears are probably as normal and common as anyone else’s like drowning, insects that can fly for absolutely no reason, and darkness.

But there is one fear I’ve attempted to conquer: the fear of heights.

On most days, I can’t even comfortably look down from a terrace because I don’t trust myself not to trip over absolutely nothing and somehow fall.

So naturally, it seemed like a brilliant idea to stand 117 meters above the ground, strapped into a harness, while professionals gave me what felt like an involuntary motivational speech before encouraging me to jump.

Yep, you guessed it.

Rishikesh bungee jumping

I’m talking about bungee jumping.

And not just anywhere, I did it in Rishikesh, home to one of India’s highest bungee jumps.

Did it cure my fear of heights?

Honestly… that’s debatable.

But it definitely gave me a story I’ll never forget.

And the funny part? I actually wrote about the entire experience—from the confidence, to the panic, to the moment I seriously questioned every life decision that brought me to that platform.
